Imperial Construction is seeking an IT Manager (Business Systems & Technology Enablement) to lead and support the technology systems that keep our office and field teams connected, productive, and secure. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable day-to-day IT operations while helping the company improve workflows, standardize systems, and scale technology in a practical and business-focused way.
The IT Manager will work closely with operations leadership, project teams, risk management, HR, and our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to support both office and jobsite technology needs. This includes user support, system administration, vendor coordination, cybersecurity practices, jobsite connectivity, and long-term technology planning.
This role is hands-on and highly collaborative. The right person will be comfortable solving day-to-day issues while also helping plan and implement technology improvements that support operational execution and long-term company growth.

Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & User Support
  • Ensure reliable day-to-day IT operations for office and field teams
  • Coordinate with the company’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) for issue resolution, escalation, and performance management
  • Monitor system uptime, user access, backups, and operational continuity
  • Support users with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, security tools, and other core business systems
  • Acumatica / ERP / construction software support
  • Respond to critical system issues and technology-related operational disruptions
  • Reinforce secure and responsible technology usage across the organization
Technology Planning & Improvement
  • Plan and coordinate technology upgrades, rollouts, and system improvements
  • Evaluate recurring IT issues and identify root causes and long-term solutions
  • Help departments improve workflows through better use of technology and automation
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI-assisted workflow improvements and practical automation tools
  • Assist with long-term technology planning aligned with company growth and operational needs
  • Support evaluation and implementation of future business systems and infrastructure improvements
  • Support business systems including ERP, accounting, project management, document management, and other construction operations platforms.
Jobsite & Field Technology Support
  • Setup, test, and support jobsite IT systems including job trailers and temporary office configurations
  • Ensure reliable jobsite connectivity using the best available solutions such as Starlink, standard ISP services, or hotspot configurations
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure field technology supports safe and efficient project execution
  • Support deployment and standardization of field hardware, devices, and connectivity solutions
  • Travel to jobsites as needed to support setup, troubleshooting, and operational continuity
Vendor & Security Management
  • Manage MSP and technology vendor relationships with clear expectations and accountability
  • Review vendor performance, contracts, and cost effectiveness
  • Support cybersecurity practices, user training, and digital risk reduction efforts
  • Assist with CMMC oversight and compliance-related technology coordination
  • Help maintain and test backup systems and recovery procedures
  • Support development and enforcement of technology governance standards and best practices
Training & Adoption
  • Support onboarding and user training related to company systems and technology
  • Reinforce consistent and effective use of core platforms across departments
  • Help improve user adoption and reduce recurring technology misuse or errors
  • Provide practical guidance and support to non-technical users

Qualifications
  • Experience managing day-to-day IT operations in a business environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, endpoint management, and user support
  • Experience coordinating with external IT vendors or Managed Service Providers
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance daily operational support with long-term planning and improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting both office and field or remote work environments preferred
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and user security awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to operational needs
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites as needed

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in construction, commercial construction, or project-based industries
  • Experience supporting jobsite connectivity and temporary field office setups
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery testing
  • Experience evaluating or implementing workflow automation and AI-assisted business tools
  • Familiarity with CMMC or similar compliance frameworks
  • Experience supporting technology standardization across multiple locations or projects

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Combination of office and field/jobsite work environments
  • Location: Weatherford, TX / Office-based with jobsite travel
  • Occasional travel to jobsites required
  • May require lifting and setup of computer equipment, networking hardware, or related technology devices
  • Must be able to work in active construction environments when supporting field operations
