Position Overview

As a Superintendent, you’ll lead the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects in the Dallas area, with an emphasis on K–12 school construction.
You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising field activities to keep projects moving safely and efficiently while making sure work and materials meet the contract documents, project schedule, budget, and Imperial’s quality standards. You’ll work closely with project management, subcontractors, owners, architects, suppliers, and other project partners throughout construction.

The right candidate will have strong commercial construction field leadership experience, a proven ability to manage complex projects and subcontractors, and the ability to solve problems and maintain project momentum in an active jobsite environment.

Because this role will primarily support school projects in the Dallas area, candidates who currently live within a reasonable daily commute of Dallas are strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead daily field operations, planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and construction activities
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and construction sequencing to support the project schedule
  • Review work and materials for compliance with contract documents and Imperial’s quality standards
  • Keep field activities aligned with the established project schedule and budget
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite in accordance with applicable safety standards
  • Identify field issues early and work with the project team to develop practical solutions
  • Coordinate day-to-day jobsite activities with project management and other members of the project team
  • Communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project team members
  • Lead field-related project meetings and document discussions, commitments, and action items
  • Monitor progress and communicate field conditions or issues that may affect schedule, quality, or project execution
  • Serve as Imperial’s primary field representative and project point of contact on the jobsite

What We’re Looking For

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant commercial construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Candidates with a strong record of hands-on field leadership and project experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, quality standards, and jobsite safety
  • Strong scheduling, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple field priorities while maintaining project momentum
  • Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, scheduling software, Procore, and related construction technology
  • A project list showing previous projects and the contract value of each project is required
  • Three references from project owners and/or architects on previous projects are required
Preferred Experience

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
